Default another nice day on stockton

Got on the lake Saturday morning about 7, the morning bite was pretty good came close to a limit before it was over. had one rod out with minnow and slip bobber set at 2 ft and another rod pitching a pink head and pearl body bobby garland. they were in 2 ft to 4 ft of water. caught a lot of short ones but picked up some big sows. By 11 it was over couldnt buy another crappie on the banks. So we headed to deep water to troll bottom bouncers and worm rigs for walley..... found the walley all be it most of them 14 inches but did manage to catch a couple of nice keepers AND finish out our limit on crappie.......Hey it might have been by accident we caught the rest of the crappie limit but they eat just as good. And now i know another way to catch them when it gets tough.........Hope you all are filling your boat with fish and enjoying good company and the great outdoors......Peace.

Sounds like a fine trip Bill. We had a nice spawn bite also on saturday morning. The crazy thing was the bite was good in a couple spots that are good every year but had yet to be. I can't help but check them everytime I go cause I'm hard headed. Been a good year but a weird and wild ride. I have kept very detailed notes. Not cause I expect this to happen again in my life but just to look back on and say can you believe that happend?

Good luck and thanks again for the report.

I know what you mean Don, i have a few of those spots myself. I have been taking notes but not to reflect on but to remeber what the heck i did and where i was at. But you are correct about one thing , we may never get a spring like this again for a long time, it has been a wild fun one for sure.
