If you post in the Arkansas board I know there are several people there that fish Ouachita.
Dear Fisherfolks,
I am a new fisherman from Arkansas. I will be mainly fishing Lake Ouachita as is that is where my boat is, and my parents lake place. My grandfather used to take me fishing as a kid. He died two years ago and in his will he gave me and my brother his boat. We felt it was special and it was a sign that we should keep the tradition alive.
My father, brother ,and myself went w/ a fishing guide last week and he showed us a lot of basics. It was really fun. I am actually going this weekend to try and catch some bream/perch. I imagine I'll mostly be fishing for bream, crappie, and bass.
I hope to learn a lot from you folks.
Thanks
J
