    Dear Fisherfolks,

I am a new fisherman from Arkansas. I will be mainly fishing Lake Ouachita as is that is where my boat is, and my parents lake place. My grandfather used to take me fishing as a kid. He died two years ago and in his will he gave me and my brother his boat. We felt it was special and it was a sign that we should keep the tradition alive.

My father, brother ,and myself went w/ a fishing guide last week and he showed us a lot of basics. It was really fun. I am actually going this weekend to try and catch some bream/perch. I imagine I'll mostly be fishing for bream, crappie, and bass.

I hope to learn a lot from you folks.

    Thanks

    J

If you post in the Arkansas board I know there are several people there that fish Ouachita.

Welcome from the Upstate of South Carolina. On this forum you will learn the techniques for crappie fishing and with practice you will soon learn how to apply them. Always feel free to ask any question. Someone is bound to have an answer.
