    Default Cricket trap

Does anyone know how to make a cricket trap? What would you use for bait? I have black crickets all over my yard and just thought if I had some kinda trap I would have plenty of bait.

Everyone owns a cricket trap (Big dark-colored Bath Towel). Lay it out in an area right at dusk and before it gets good daylight (dawn) have your cricket container ready and lift the towel up. Then catch the crickets...cheapest, easiest way to get free bait!

Note: You might want to get your kids or some neighborhood kids to come over and help you catch them.

Have never tried it but heard you can take a loaf of bread, unsliced, cut in half, remove most of the inside, cut a hole in one end and rubberband, tape, together again. Put a little sugar and water inside and put it outside at dark, cover with something to keep the critters away and next morn dump them out.

I have heard that fish will not bite black crickets. Is that true? Black ones are all that I see outside.
