    Default Ditch Basser’s kayak

I’ve been asked several times to post pics of my kayak so here goes. It’s a 10’ 6” Old Town Dirigo, Sit Inside kayak weighing 46 pounds. I rigged it out my self.

The depth finder / fish finder is a Humminbird, PiranhaMAX 170 (dual beam) mounted in a Humminbird portable case conversion kit allowing it to operate on 8 AA batteries.

The transducer is mounted on an arm made from starboard a plastic product used in the yachting industry that’s flexible, doesn’t rust or degrade in sunlight but cuts like wood. This allows me to get the transducer under the kayak for a clear return, but swing it up so it’s out of the way when getting the boat in and out of the water.

I have four rod holders made by “Scotty” with recessed mounts. I can drag 6 rods at one time, with four in rod holders.

When casting or jigging specific pieces of brush I can remove the rod holders leaving the kayak sides clear.

nicely rigged, and apparently used quite a bit.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

    crappieseeker,

I'll take a photo next time I'm out. My jig rods are all two piece so I can set them over to the left side of the fish finder with the reel and butt section in my lap and thy're out of the way. Works "ok", you have to really scale down what you take in a kayak.
