    springhillwantabe,

Spring is the time for electrofishing black bass so I would guess that Scott is looking for smallies at Glen Elder, probably some night time sampling for smallies. The fall sample conducted in October and November uses netting gear (trap nets and gill nets) to capture fish and black bass are not targeted in the fall. Sometimes we will use the shocker boat in late September early October to look for young of the year walleye.

Shocker boats will be getting a workout across the state over the next 4 to 5 weeks as Fish Bios take to the water to sample their black bass populations so you'll likely see more shocker boats if you are on the water much!
