Default Smithville 10:30 to 4:30 Sunday

Fisherman's Daughter and I hit the lake late this AM and lasted until just after 4PM. We tried shallow first, then deeper, then just had to get the heck out of the wind......we caught a few here and there with the best luck in about 10 ft of H20 on the north side of the East W bridge near a tree. Can't beat THAT for givin it up!!

Later we caught our last 3 keepers trolling along the east shore of that point just south of the island on the east side of the collins rd bridge. Those fish were right on the bank. We kept seven and probably threw back as many. The bite was quite a bit more aggressive than yesterday.....but then again so was the wind!!!

    Whew!

    Tight lines everyone!!!

Good report ! The wind was brutal today . My wife and I were walking the trails around the lake today and it looked rough out there . Congrats on the catch and the determination to stick it out under tough fishing conditions .

Nice report. Persistance pays off! We were over at Crows Creek Campground for dinner with the inlaws ( they are one of the camp hosts) and it was huffing and puffing for sure.

Good job. The wind kept me away! Oh and the cold. I wish winter would come back!

Darn right Joe. It was amazing. I really had NO idea what a difference getting double the thrust would mean, not to mention spot lock, I-pilot and cruise control. I'm even getting used to not having a foot pedal.

Gotta get you out with me SOON. I'm busy as HECK right now though. Sheesh.

BTW, Richard is awesome, thanks for the referral.
