Hello, does anyone have pics of a portable transducer setup on an aluminum jon boat?
Thanks in advance, Ed

An old transom mount trolling motor bracket is the cats meow. Take the head and the motor off of it and put the tramnsducers on it, can hang it on any boat you fish out of, been doing it for years.

I made this one out of PVC for my Pelican Bass Raider. jut hangs over the front.
Works great.
My HB 160 PirhanaMax came with a transducer mounted on a suction cup. At first I was leary about how well the suction cup would hold, but after a season's worth of experience I'm confident that it will hold through just about anything.
It's the way to go if you need to remove the transducer frequently. I think they sell the mount only.

I picked this up at Cabela's a few weeks back, for $55.00. I'm sure you can make one a lot cheaper, but I just used some Xmas gift certs from my kids!

Nice setup @ Crestliner08.. Have any pics of it on your boat?
If she got tha ROE let her GO..
No Edward, I do not as I no longer have a boat of my own. I use the above bracket on rental rigs. It's a bit costly, but I got it with gift certs my kids gave me for Xmas, so it worked out fine for me! Very well made of heavy aluminum. Quite sturdy. Only problem was that the instructions were tiny and hard on these old eyes! But I managed.
Next time I'm on the Quabbin, I'll take a couple of pics with it on the gunnels.
