After the spawn

Where do Crappie go after they spawn? Do the stay up shallow or do the move out to deeper water drop off's ect? Thanks for any insights you can offer.

Depends on what lake you are on. Here in Ohio in the shallow dirty lakes they will seek out deeper water if available. Usually they stay where they are though here and I get them shooting pontoons throughout post spawn.

Well I heard they all get together and had to the mountains for cooler water.......:p

They'll move to deeper channels not far from where they spawned. Especially if theres structure such as tree stumps, rock piles or something like that.
