    Default Smithville 4/19 10:45am -noon

Well I had a couple hours inbetween appointments today so I threw the rod in the back of the car, a 5 gallon bucket and about 10 jigs and walked down to the bank. Caught about 25 in a little over an hour, kept 10. All on 1/16 chart/red eye and a Bobby Garland Black/Chart jig. It was fast and furious. Two were over 12" and the rest were around 10". Lost 5 or 6 as well.. one even broke me off. Still getting used to these papermouths They were in two feet of water, and the biggest one came up and attacked the jig just as I was about to pull it out of the water in about 6 inches of water.

Fished just north of the Camp Branch/Crows Creek marina on the north side of the cove. All blacks.

Glad I got out today, wanted to take the boat out this weekend, hopefully the cold front doesn't hurt it..

Great Report. It's fun when they attack the jig! I actually had one come out of the water a couple of weeks ago as I lifted the jig . The kids seen it and it was cool!
