    Default Slabs Maine Style/Pics

My guest from Virginia and I went out again today. He lives next to the Kerr Resevoir and says the fishing down there sucks. He got his PB Crappie today at 16 1/2. we also got 2 at 16 and several at 13-15. We also got into some some very large White Pearch. To days fishing and 2 5 gallon pails cleaned and more than that sent back.

Those are some very nice Crappie but you would lose 1/2 inch if you closed their mouth and squeezed the lobes of the tail together when measuring them. That is the way we have to measure the fish in Ne. Even so they are still some very nice fish. EB

Those are some huge White perch to me. Good eating too. We used to catch them in Lake Greenwood, S.C. many years ago; but not nearly as big as yours.

Looks like two different species . The black ones are definitely crappie but are the white ones the real white perch ? If so , that's the first ones I've ever seen . And for sure some big ones ! Nice catch !
