    Default My Monday Fishing Trip

Ok, although it was raining like crazy, I did go out and do some fishing on Monday. Although they're not crappie, it was nice for me to go out and catch my favorite fish...walleye :D :D . A friend and I were fishing at Ford Lake and I ended up with 6 walleye (gave the smallest to my friend, but he wanted me to keep it so he followed me to my house). Their sizes were 21", 20", 2-19", 17", and 16" . I have attached the before and after (fillets) pictures. All of this was done in 2.5 hours from the shore . I'm going to go out again and hope for the same thing.

I'd rather be on the lake enjoying the thrill of my rod telling me there's a fish on the end of my line. :D

I was using a chartruse suspended minnow stick bait and was using a pop and stop retrieve. It dives no deeper than 5 feet and a fellow fishing person said there was a drop off from 7-15 feet (I fish from the shore, so I wouldn't have known that) and that's where I was fishing. I'm trying to go back out tonight, but I think I'll call it a rest until Friday.
