    Default Prospertown Lake trip 04-16-12

Made it out again Monday after work. Got there around 5 PM and the fishing was dead till about 6 when business picked up. Between 6 and 7:30 I got 12 Crappie avg size around 12" and 4 Chain Pickerel each around 14". Caught them all on a fly called Goldie Jr.

The best part was I wasn't the only fly fisher there, the other person looked to be doing as well as me. The bait casters on the other side of the lake didn't seem to be catching much.

Cool report! The fly rod is a neat way to catch em. Were you using a strike indicator? Id like to see a pic of the fly.

I use a hopper-dropper, I figure that if I'm going to have something float it might as well have a hook. The picture I have was taken with my iPad thingie and this is the best I can get. Here is the link to the instructions I used to tie it. "Goldie Jr." - FAOL

Simple fly - easy to tie. The only kind I like that way I don't feel too bad when I lose it.
