I use 10/2 power pro! What do you use for a bobber stop?

Use "BOBBER STOPS"; they are @ BassPro or Cabela's. Some have different line sizes. They are rubber, so as you slide them up or down the line, make sure you moisturize (spit on) the line. Otherwise the heat friction will burn the Bobber Stop. These are easy to use after you get the knack.

Wal-Mart carries Eagle Claw bobber stops that are a little rubber egg shaped stop. They work great for mono and braid.Easy to use and wont hang up on the eyes when casting.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

I don't have a problem with using the little string ties, but I use 14 lb P.P.

Cinch 'em down tight and tie a square knot with the ends.

I use the rubber types. I used the string ones but had a lot of trouble keeping them tight. My husband uses the string ones without a problem. Get a few of both kinds and see which one's you like the best. Also make sure you spit on the line to wet it or however you want to wet it. If not the stops and your fingers will get very hot when moving the stop up and down the line.
