Speck is Enid as good as Grenada But not as crowded? If you had a choice would you fish grenada Enid or Sardis? We are trying to plan a trip for next year looking for any info we can get. Thanks

fishin562, its hard to say if one is better than another. I'm sure everyone has their favorite. I like Enid because its a little smaller than Grenada or Sardis. Depending on what time of year you go, they all can get crowded. Huge slabs in all of them!!! As far as picking one, it would be personal choice but it seems to me that Sardis is windy everytime I go. Good Luck next year!! Speck

Late March to Mid April is peak of the spawn and fisherman. You just about have to bait your hook behind a tree to keep the fish off of it until it gets in the water. This year, at Enid, the spawn peaked the Thursday and Friday before Easter. Early spring and after the spawn, look for them around schools of shad in creek channels and deeper water not far from the spawning areas. Trolling is very effective. You cover alot of water and find alot of fish.
