    Default After the catch.....

So, when you guys are out catching your slabs what do you do with the ones you plan to take home? What is your process? Do you put them on a stringer? Do you put the in the live well? Do you put them in a cooler?

What do you do after he is on the boat and off the line.??

I put them on a stringer of course I am also fishing from the bank. If I am in the boat they usually go in a fish basket...

Live well if it is cool enough out, prefer em live when I filet them. But if it is hot out they go in a cooler of ice.

Mine always go in the live well. When I get to the ramp, I transfer to the ice chest. I have to let mine sit on ice overnight. They are much easier to clean. JMO

I fish either in a jon boat (no live well), or from the bank. So first they go in a basket. At the end of the day if I've got enough to make cleaning worthwhile, they go from the basket to the cooler. I'm only a few minutes from home and the cleaning board.
