Default Bass Pro /Cabelas rain gear

I am looking into getting some real wind/raingear. Any one have a recommendation? I have been looking at BPS 100mph and the Pro Qualifier, also Cableas Guide wear.

I have the Bass Pro Goretex and like it, the 100 mph is better but cost lots more.

Bibs keep you drier when sitting over the pants which always slide down on my youthful physique. I have stearns bought at wally, but have seen them with other labels on them. double storm flaps keep the jacket area dry, and permanent attached (built in) hoods work much better.

I have the Cabela's Guide Wear X300 parka and bibs and they are great. Will keep you dry even in the worst downpour and with a fleece layer underneath will keep you warm. They also cut the wind great and is comfortable to fish in all day...some of the best money I have spent on a fishing item.

I have a Cabela's Guidewear parka and a set of the Tourney Trail bibs. There is a Cabela's retail store near me, and I bought them on clearance. After having used them, I would gladly pay full price to replace them if I lost them somehow.

If it gets cold where you live, buy an uninsulated set that is large enough to fit over a heavy jacket and you can wear them three seasons our of the year. For summer, you probably want to go with something lighter.

I heard that the cabelas guidewear have to be taken off if you have to take a leak because the gusset and zipper do not come down low enough to the crotch. Is the Bass Pro the same way?

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

You can cut the gusset out if you want. It doesn't affect me either way. Since I'm not a guy, I have to take them off anyway.
