Easter Bunny Fun at Smithville

After Church and the normal Easter festivities the kids talked me into fishing. Started in the creek channel we last did well in last time but no luck and the temp had dropped 6 degrees. We found a deeper bite that worked out pretty well. Not sure how many we caught but I would guess about 50. I was throwing all mine back but the kids wanted to keep some. Cleaned a dozen good eaters and talked to a guy at the ramp that was leaving and he didn’t have any so gave him a dozen for a meal.
Once again out fished buy the kids with my son catching the first and most fish and my daughter catching the biggest which was about 14. I caught a hungry little guy and no we didn’t have any minnows. Another great day with the kids!
