Lake St Louis crappie

My wife says she wants to take up fishing so she can spend some time with me because i am always fishing. So i took the wife out fishing for the second time and just took her around docks that had a bunch of small crappie where i knew she would catch some. She was having fun catch some but then she got a phone call so i went to work and caught some nice ones at the dock. Here is a picture of the biggest one which i release since it was full of eggs along with a bunch more. These fish were still in 10 feet of water caught on slab busters.

Great job LSL. That is what I ended up doing with Paula after we got the boat. Got her on some fish granted not large ones but some fish and then I set the hook! She loves to fish now! LOL! Hope she doesn't see this post or I am in the dog house again! Oh well what is different from today as any other day! I think the longest I have ever been out of the dog house is 3 days straight and that was several years ago!

She watches the fishing programs on TV with me and thinks your just suppose to catch fish all the time while your out there. She found out its a lot tougher than that. Thats our job to be in the dog house all the time.

Nice fish Mark.........sounds like a fun one with the wife. I'm still working on mine.......she likes the boating part, but hasn't caught the fishing bug yet. A work in progress!
