Thanks for the report!Headed to Melvern on Wed. and post a report.
We went to Melvern this afternoon and had a pretty good day once we obtained some minnows. We always get a hell of a good count at the marina so we normally buy our minnows at the marina. Today we get there and they were out! Wouldnt have any till 4:30 or 5:00. So we go fart around looking for the walleye and had no luck with that.
Went back to the marina at 5 and bought our minnows and then hit the banks. Caught 15-20 males in around 6-8 feet of water. These males were tiny! Little bitty guys!
Got tired of fighting the other boats so we went out and tried the piles where we had good results last weekend. Had to try several different piles before I found a good one up west. We caught 25 in about an hour. Biggest was 14 inches and smallest was 12, all females, stuffed full of eggs.
Released everything we caught today. Just didnt feel the need to keep those big females still full of eggs as we have plenty at home from last year.
