You bet I do! Slow retrieve or a twitch and reel in the slack, followed by another twitch. Use the right float that allows it to float properly, you don't want the bobber too high in the water.

Twitch and go! Twitch the bobber a bit and stop then pull in about 6 inches and twitch it again all the way back to the bank or boat. This is very effective from the bank. EB

How deep under the bobber?
adjust bobber until you find the depth the crappie are at.
Yes. Use a slow retrieve. When you think you are fishing slow then slow it down some more. Use an occasional pause in the retrieve. i I will start at four feet under the float because crappies feed up. Then adjust the depth until you are just above the depth they are holding at.
