I cant see any cons, minnows love bubbles, keeps them more lively. I run a home aquarium areator, powered by an inverter off a spare battery. I can run a fan and a light off it as well for 10 hours. I ran the air line under my decking and to a Frabill MIN-o2-life bait container and everything is nice and neat in storage under front deck.Name: securedownload[1].jpg

I thought converter would put a draw on the battery also.

Before putting it in, I would have agreed with you, but I (as a test) ran it to see how long it would last. Like my post says, 10 hrs no problem at all. I would have to pull the aerator out to see what the current draw is, but it obviously can't be very much and that is a small inverter. Plan on using it all day Saturday, I will let you know how it goes.

if you don't want to deal with the converter, just buy a 12 volt aeriator, i've had one for years and it works fine all day long. I even have it wired to my cranking battery and have never had any problems.
