Not sure about the pine lumber. But the way regular hooks are eaten up with rust . I'd look at aluminum nails or even the Stainless Steel Screws or nails used for the new treated lumber. They recomend them for use in the newer treated lumber as the regular ones are eaten away by the salts.
I've been thinking of going and getting a load of Oak or even Cedar slabs from a local saw mill .
Would you be interested in going ang getting a load of slabs ? If we paid anything it would be next to nothing. Usually a mess of fish is all most want for them as it's scrap and has little value.:D
