Default What sunglasses tint is best?

Just curious. What color sunglasses lens and at what level (20%, 40%, 60% or 80%) do you all find works best for those of you who wear PRESCRIPTION sunglasses?

    Is grey best?

    Is brown a downer?

    Is Blue to feminine?

    Do you go Polarized?

Curious as I am about to order some sunglasses for when I go fishing...

    Thank you in advance!

i wear prescription sunglasses and i can tell you i've had my fair share of ups and downs of prescription sunglasses. my last pair i got everything on them my total ended up being like 57 dollars with shipping. polarized is a requirement in my book. will never get another pair without It. polarized has helped my sight fishing alot theres been tons of times i've been looking right at a fish someone else couldn't see that was a couple feet under the water.
I got a nice 4foot blacktip shark lastyear i was yelling it out where it was no one could see it and i ended up throwing at it myself and landed the bait right in front of it. Seen alot of fish then that the surface haze glare blocked out.

i have a gray polarized with antiglare. are they the best no but oakley wanted 560dollars for all the stuff i wanted and prescriptions. i about had a heart attack with that price so i ordered a pair online ended up being 57 bucks at that price i wouldnt feel bad if they did drop in the water.

but hey if someone has 600bucks to drop on sunglasses feel free to order the best, i chose the ones i got and got a fishfinder, and some other things my boat needed.

gray for me is one of the best during the day but near dark orange or hd yellow is my favorite. i use the yellow for shooting and gray for fishing during the day.

Agreed Cody... doesn't matter to me what color as long as they're polarized. My script glasses from the doc was a $400 bill so I buy whatever sunglasses I can find on sale to go over them as long as they're polarized. For evening and nighttime I've got a pair of over the script glasses in yellow tint that works great, also great for driving at night and I also wear them at all times working around the house to keep my script galsses scratch free. Finally, very important to get rid of the peripheral vision glare with a wraparound style. If you get rid of the glare, the brightness is not a factor. I can wear even the yellow tinted ones all day long in bright sunshine and feel comfortable because I"m not squinting.

Where do you find prescription sunglasses for $57.00? I would like to buy a couple pair of them.

I had a pair of prescription Costa Delmar sunglasses for over ten years and I would have to buy new lenses in both pair of my glasses with each prescription change.

Now I am using the Cocoons sunglasses and no longer have to pay for new prescriptions in both pair of glasses.

LBM - are they comfortable to wear over your glasses all day? I once got a pair of supposedly "over-glasses" glasses. From Al Lindners site actually. Didn't like them at all. Very uncomfortable to wear for any length of time. Of course I paid a lot less than what I'd have to pay for the Cocoons.

I don't find them that uncomfortable and for their price I'm less worried about loosing them than I was for loosing the prescription glasses.

I saw Kevin Van Dam on one of the bass shows talking about this. He said he kept several different pairs of sunglasses in the boat. All were different colors. He switched back and forth between them, depending on the sky and water conditions.
