send me a pm I will check the spot out with my super duper crappie snooper jig and let you know what I find out....
anyway you got out, caught a mess, had a decent time. good for you guys,,,,
After a day away from the lake I went back to CC area this morning and things had took a turn for the worse. We fished all our spots from 7 to 11 and had 16 keepers. Granted that is still a good mess of fish, but with an average of 2 keepers per hour per man thats pretty slow fishing. Water temp was 56 when we started and 58 when we left. Just part of the spawn and you have to take the bad with the good. We switched baits and tried a lot of different things from road runners to small feather jigs with a nibble and nothing seemed to work any better than just a lead head with a hot grub like we had been using the last week. The things about fishing that intrigue me the most is the wierd things that don't make sense. We caught 12 of our fish at one spot and that spot has been pretty good everytime I have fished it in the last week. It seems to be the one spot that hasnt cared what the rain, or water temp, or clarity was doing it simply holds fish. Not only have the fish been there for the last 8 days but they havn't changed their pattern at that spot. I have studied it on the map and tried to understand what is at play but I give up.
Im sure someone figured them out today in that area but it wasnt us.
Good luck, this week should gets things fired up again.
Fish like your hungry!
