I could stand some of that. Sounds like fun.
Made it out to the cottage today to drop off the boat. Hit the water by 5:30pm and stayed till 8:00pm and managed 22 crappie, 1 jumbo yellow perch (13 1/2 inches) and 1 jumbo bluegill. Minnows with slip floats in about 6 feet of water, 3 feet down was the key. I was using a Tru Turn snell, size 6, gold hook - had to be gold, no bites otherwise. Messed around with other methods, tube jigs, 2" curly tail jigs swimmed back (and missed one) plus bettle spins. Fishing in a canal between two lakes in front of a boat house with low hangs and reeds, plus mil foil and pads already (bugs were heavy for some reason). Funny thing was most crappies came on waxies or gulp red-worms (which is rare for this body of water). Easily ran through the minnows and made it back for BBQ chicken.
Sorry no pictures. banghead
Fun time though, that is all that matters!
