What is your favorate search tool for brim beds? Went out today to mark some new spots for crappie on an old creek run, got to fish out there in the open for about an hour before the wind blew my off so I went looking for a brim bed and finally found one after a lot of looking. Used crickets to search. Caught 34 keepers, only thing they would really bite were crickets and that includes the shellcrackers, at least for me.

I use my 987cSI Hummingbird. I can clearly see bluegill beds from 100 feet away. It has been the best investment I have ever made. I found over 20 groups of beds this past weekend at KY lake. I kept about 50 eaters and threw back the biggest for spawners. Probably the best day of bluegill fishing I have ever had. Total was well over 200 for 6 hrs of fishing, two of us in the boat.

The only trouble with that is my name is "No-nose Jordan", my sniffer just not very good which at times can be a blessing.
