Redears

I'm not much on bream fishing . I perfer crappie and then cats , but friends love bream. I have a friend that loves bluegills or did. We went to Harris brake and did terriable today. Then went on to Conway and did OK. My buddy loved to catch bluegills till today. We did'nt keep any , after we got on the redears ! We kept 21 and they were 9 to 11'' . We caught plenty of gills but after a few redears , it was disappointment when they hit.:D

Sounds like you're a bream fisher now ! Yeeehaw! Yes Shellcrackers are fun strong fighters and good eating :D. The big boys are real fun. No reason to stop gill fishing though, especially when that wiley old 2lb. plus mature Bluegill with faded stripes makes a rare mistake and bites your line :D. We all get skunked from time to time, even on Shellcrackers.
