I'm sorry i have to contest this. I do believe private industry was part of the mess we are in the first place. By firing American workers and taking advantage of Bush's push for globalization and unity by offering tax benefits to companies that hired outside the United States.

It made pure sense. Why not hire 500 customer service reps from Bandgladesh to replace the 250 American workers we have and we can pay them $2 an hour instead of $13 an hour. I'm glad the government (democrats) took over private industry and Obama is pushing for tighter restrictions on globalization and trying to pass laws that offer tax benefits to companies that hire INSIDE the United States.

I don't agree with the notion that it says our National Security is weaker. Not only has there not been another terrorist attack on US soil, but when was the last time a terrorist was captured trying to enter the U.S.? While i won't agree with TSA on several things, i certainly don't think our National Security is weak, if anything, its too aggressive.

Healthcare seems to be a hot topic every election year, and every election year, each president says he is going to doing something about it during their campaign, and finally someone does something and people criticize him about it. In fact, Obama's original idea for healthcare wasn't even the same as what we got, and not by his choice. Republicans and some Democrats complained about it so much and wanted changes done to it that by the time it came out of the meat grinder it didn't look anything like what Obama wanted.

I'm 28 years old, i can't afford healthcare because it cost too much for me, thank goodness the VA covers my meds and some healthcare. Republicans want to cut programs like Battered Woman shelters, Planned Parenthood clinics, but yet they don't want to take a pay decrease from their $450k yearly salary. My sister's baby turns 1 year old in April, right now my sister is worried out of her mind because Medicaid is threatening to drop her son from coverage because she doesn't make enough income from her part-time job that she has held for 3 years and just recently got promoted. Is this really the country that our forefather's had envisioned for us? No, but its the one more recent politicians did.

You are right. This is not the country our Forefathers envisioned.
They envisioned and started a country that was self sufficient and protected it's citizens. They did not provide a free life for them with free food and medicine or any other support. Obama wants everyone dependent on government so he can control them. If he is elected again I am convinced he will try to lengthen the term for a president.
He surely does not have my vote this time or the last.

While our Representatives and Senators make a lot by my standards it is not close to $450k.
