    Florida Crappie Club - 6th Tournament of 2012

    Lake Manatee, Manatee State Park
    Bradenton, Fl

    (10) Teams entered sixth event 0f 2012

    (2) Positions paid for "Big Fish"

    1st: Team Benjamin & Harwood
    1 lb 4.9 oz

    2nd: 2 - Teams tied for big fish

    1st: 2a. Team Jordon & & Jordon
    2nd: 2b.Team Stewart Levine

    (2) Two positions paid for "7 fish total
    catch weight"

    1st: Team Benjamin & Harwood
    8 lbs. 0.00 oz

    2nd: Team Irle & Hartsock
    6 lbs. 11.0 oz

    Just about every form of fishing was in use looking for ole Mr. Spec.
    Long-lining, spider rigging, jigging, drifting and old fashioned bobber
    pitching to holes under brush canopies

    1st:place Benjamin & Harwood used 10' BnM rods, pflueger reels
    with 2 lb flouracarbon - long-lining with 32nd & 48th oz jigs -
    dark colors/chart tails in 4- 7' stained water at .8 to 1.2 mph.

    2nd place Irle & Hartsock team "spider rigging" minnows tipped,
    with 12-14' Deep-South rods, using Irle's custom made jigs
    (primarly dark colors with flashbow streamer) in 20 - 22' water
    -fishing 17 - 19' down ..

    Next tournament will be March 31st, Lake Istokpoga, Istokpoga
    Park rd, off highway 98. Lake Placid area.
