Im gonna get a new fenwick tomorrow and am curious what people think is the best model fo casting to crappie but has enough backbone to handle bass as well. Any input is appreciated

I'm not that familiar with the Fenwicks, but I'd guess that almost any model that could handle crappie would be fine for bass. I got one of my biggest bass (a 7-pounder) on a 4.5' UL rod and 2# line. Light and UL rods can do a lot!
I have one of the 4' 9" Ultralight Eagles and I like that rod a lot. Suggested retail of about $60; so it is a good value, too.
I like the little sticks, but a lot of folks prefer a longer rod of say 7' in a light action. The Eagle line from Fenwick is a pretty decent set of rods for the price, just like the Triumph line is from St Croix.
