My Minn Kota came with one that goes in the middle of the motor mount bracket, looks kind of funny looking with the motor in the water with it sticking up, but it saves the hinge on the bracket when the water is rough like it was today. Mine is just a aluminum pipe with a treaded end for a bolt and a stopper end.
