I went ahead and bought the Hummingbird 596 HD DI. I really like it so far. Once I learn all the functions it has I sure it will even get better. That Down Imaging is awesome.

I looked at one and read that if it's on the front, and you run the trolling motor, there is interference....any truth?
Work so I can fish and fish so I can survive work.

I dont have any interference with mine. Most of that talk is for those with wireless trolling motors such as Terrova's. They have major issues with interference with Lowrance and Humminbird units.

I have a one year old HB 596 HD DI that I'm going to sell if anyone is interested. Selling because I upgraded to a new SI unit. PM me if you have any questions. Thanks.
