Red face Best line for longlining?

just started and I'm hooked thanks to mrdux! Been using mr. Crappie hi viz line in 6 pound. Twists like a ballerina. I probably need 10 pound but which brand? I assume most are using mono but still would like to know a brand. Thanks gentlemen.....even tho I know better!!!

6 or 8 lb. Sufix mono can't be beat! You can get it in hi- vis tangerine or smoke green camo. I like both for long lining. If you pull 8lb. You can straighten out most all jig hooks and not lose baits. Virtually no twist and very strong! Worth the $$$$$.

I use vicious hi viz 6#, and it will twist up. One way to reduce line twist is to use a swivel, some do, some don't. I have not noticed a difference in strikes with or without a swivel.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

vicious wins fishermen not fish, Mr crappie hi viz has the word crappie in it so it also wins fishermen not fish. Sufix, now that's just a quality fishing line, beats the other two mentioned by a clear mile. No twists, low memory awesome line. Try using Mr Crappie line in the winter and all you end up with is a coiled up mess, not so with Sufix. Stren line is also good.
