For those who use WORKING deep freezers for bait tanks:
You can keep the water at a constant temp. by just using a digital temp controller thermostat for about 15 bucks.
All you need is the following:
1 multi outlet extension cord
1 digital temp controller
1 working deep freezer
Step 1. Cut one of the extension cord wires (1 single conductor, not both)
Step 2. Connect each cut ends to the Temp controller COLD terminals
Step 3. Place temp probe into filled tank.
Step 4. Place freezer on its lowest setting and Plug Freezer into extension cord socket. Plug extension cord into AC outlet.
Step 5. Plug Temp controller into AC outlet (not the extension cord socket)
Follow temp sensor directions to set desired temp. The temp sensor will cycle power to the freezer making sure it wont go above desired temp, and turn it back on when it the water temp hits your threshold setting. Cool huh?
