What were you catching them on, seem like they were doing good on minnows on Wednesday. Caught a few on green rag fly jigs.

I must have been in the wrong place. I fished Walnut Creek and only had 5 keepers. I am not set up to spider rig. Have thought about it. Don't think I have enough boat though. I have a narrow 14' jon and don't know if it's wide enough.. Also keeping trolling slow enough.

Oh yeah, what part of the lake? Depth? I caught all mine in the treetops on bluffs. Not even a bite on the flats.

We caught about half on flats around peters creek, and the other half came off a bluff around the narrows!

Ur boat ought to be big enough to spider rig with! Run 3lol or four rods off the front and if some one is with u run three or four off the back! Do u have a trolling motor?

Yes, I have a trolling motor.

I think I will probably go with what I am used to this year then do some serious looking and figure out how to set up a spider rigging outfit for my boat. I figure I can probably make, or have a setup made much cheaper than what they are selling for.

I have done some long line trolling on Barren in the past and never have much luck. I cut my teeth long line trolling as a kid in Florida. We used to have a lot of luck doing it down there. Just doesn't seem as productive here. Maybe its just me.

I sure see a lot of success with the spider rigging here onBarren. I guess more bait in the water equals more fish in the boat....

Guess I am heading out to see what I can do today. I am getting a much later start than I like but better late than never.

I am undecided on whether to go to Walnut Creek or Peters. I just live a mile or so from Walnut Creek and Peters is 6-8 mi. Not that that is really a factor. I just hate driving by Walnut Creek when I know that the fish are there too.
