    Default Spawning in Missouri

When do the Crappie normally spawn here in Missouri? I have never been able to fish during the spawn or when they have been running really good. I am just trying to catch the best time that I can. Thanks.

you can find blacks in shallows already getting ready. I say blacks from mar to mid april. Whites mid april to beggiming of may. Watch those dogwood trees when their bloomin crappie are boomin.

    Mid April - Mothers day

Any crappie you find shallow in March are not making beds, but probably chasing shad on an insect hatch

That is usually a good time on Twain....... I really doubt you are going to see spawning fish yet, but definitely a good pre-spawn bite, maybe a few males up shallow making beds, and most likely a good time to rig if you are set up for it.

with the weather we are having, I am beginning to wonder. but usually, mid to late april is my favorite time to fish at twain. if you can catch the weather right, your goin home with a nice stringer of fish.
