last week of april

hello everyone
me and my wife will be coming down to weiss the last week of april, was hoping some of you folks would share some tips and tactics for our trip down, talked to a local guide and he said dock shooting will be the only way to go, ummm, my wife will hook me in the ear lol, was hoping to be able to drown some minnows and catch a few, any advice given would surely be helpful as it is our 1st trip to Alabama and really looking forward to it

Hard to tell this far out but I think the spawn is going to occur earlier this year than normal. The water temps are ahead of where it has been in the past few years. I have a feeling the last week of April may be a little tough though. They may be back out along the river channel or mouths of the creeks at theat time.
