Reports on Monroe?

Anyone been on Monroe recently? Is the water too high and muddy to fish? Tryinh to decide whether to go this week or not. Any help is appreciated.

Went yesterday, the lake is high but the crappies were biting. Went way up Middle Fork and fished the flooded timber. You need to get right up against the trees and vertical jig the sides of the trees. This is a great way to get the really big ones. You get hung up a lot but use heavier line and straighten out the jig hook if you have to. Water colors ok. Good luck

Fished Monroe the last 3 days. First 2 days had one keeper (over 10"). Caught hundreds of short fish just about everywhere. Found one spot yesterday pulled 15 fish from 13 to over 15 inches from it. Weird how all the good ones were in this one spot. Had to leave or could have had more.

fished Saturday, 5-13. Alot of little ones, one 13" fish in Saddle Creek. Middle Fork was pretty muddy. Hope to go this weekend. Any reports on water conditions?
