To me, a noodle rod is a very soft action rod that bends from the tip to the butt. Dick Swan was a pioneer in the use of these rods for Great Lakes salmon and steelhead.

I prefer a little more backbone in my rods, though.

I have used noodle rods for the past twenty years " won't use anything else "
Have learned a few tricks to mount a reel to the blanks, Most of the rods I use are 12' I have never found a rod with the feel of these.

Browning use to make a Dick Swan noodle rod. Now Browning makes one from thier six rivers series. I have an 11' and love it.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.
