Default Wanna know why gas prices are so high?

Wall Street greed fueling high gas prices

Is Big Oil to blame? Sure. Partly. Big oil companies have been gouging consumers for years. They have made almost $1 trillion in profits over the past decade, in part thanks to ridiculous federal subsidies and tax loopholes. I have proposed legislation to end those pointless giveaways to some of the biggest and most profitable corporations in the history of the world.

But there's another reason for the wild rise in gas prices. The culprit is Wall Street. Speculators are raking in profits by gambling in the loosely regulated commodity markets for gas and oil.

Warning: Reading the entire article is educational and informative but may also make your blood pressure go through the roof. *I gotta go get a pill! Or something .......*

No blood pressure rise here. Seeing that Bernie Sanders authored this piece I knew right away that this was nothing more than a reading from the Marx and Engels playbook. The very same book the Beav studies and preaches from. And by the way that ivy league educated Bill O'Reilly is singing the same tune as Bernie Sanders on this issue and this is what is making my blood boil.

Kind of repeating myself here but one thing I'm sure of is that with the election of any loony utopians like Obama or any Stalinist or Hitler types that any one of those loons would never have a problem staffing their regimes with the hoards of this countries ivy league graduates clamoring for positions to work toward their utopian ideals they were inculcated with during their studies.

    This is a complete joke.

First of all, this is from CNN.

    Second, it's an opinion piece.

Third, it's written by Bernie Sanders the only (admitted) socialist in the US Senate.

I'll just add that I'm happy to pay higher prices at the pump if it will help defeat Obama in the fall.

Joke or not there is no improved demand for extra oil and the flo hasn't been interupted, just the threat of being cut off but Saudi Arabia has said they would release more oil to make up the difference so why do you think the price has raised so drastically in recent weeks, DB4D?? EB

Yes my needle is stuck on the preservation of liberty and the warding off of tyranny.

Why don't you start thinking about upholding the US Constitution that was written to establish a limited government that protects individual liberties. Yes individual liberties something that is invariably lost and totally trashed by the promotion of yours and Karl Marx's loony utopian ideas.

Maybe because Obama has the worst energy policy ever:

Terrible policy from the White House coupled with tensions in the Mideast is never a good thing for gas prices. The silver lining to this cloud is that it could be Obama's undoing. :Hands Clapping

So and you think you know what the cap on oil prices should be. Please share that with us.
