    Default Loz 2/26

Went with the wife and my mom and dad today. Dad put the plug in on the outside of the boat so as we were trolling for some walleye's she started takin on water pretty hard. Looked and sure enough the plug had come out and sank in the drink somewhere. Had an extra plug handy so we ran the engine wide open and let the water get sucked back out then put the plug in on the inside this time. Hit a few docks and the fish were biting crappie that is. Only wanted minnow for me today. Hit on white and chart tipped with a minnow at the edge of docks on brush from 7' 12' deep. Ended up with about 15 caught and threw them all back. Stress full day but we caught some fish.

'Bout freaked me out the first time I watched someone do that...pull the plug and run the boat FOT to drain it. I'm no physicist so I'm pretty amazed by the whole concept! Thank the Good Lord you carry a spare plug and glad you caught a few.

Way to go sounds like a good end to what could have been a bad one.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

Yep, nothing more scary than seeing the boat filling with water especially at this temperature. Good job on the catching part.

Thats what we used to do before we decided to put bilge pumps in our boats.

Glad you caught a few to make up for the boat plug incident.

Dang Danny!! I am glad you guys were on your toes and thinking. I sure dont want to see a good friend and family have to go through something like going into the cold water like that. Stay safe out there bud.

I should have my boat back this week so maybe this weekend we can go give'em a try.

Probably should not say this but I put a plug inside the battery area so I could plug from in the boat it is on a small chain used it more times than I care to admit. Glad it all turned out feels funny when the boat will not plane out just kind of stands up.
