    Default Rod Holders

    Mornin guys and gals.
I know this has been asked several times. I don't really spider rig but would like to have a couple of rod holders on each end of the boat. I would rather not drill anything. I have a 2006 Triton fish and ski. I looked at the holders with the clamps but they are not big enough to go around the sides. I looked at some on here that people had made and it looks pretty simple. Just need an idea on how to mount them.
    Thanks for the help

That's not a bad idea. Did you just move your seat back farther or take it out completely?

Your seat pole fits into the back round piece and the seat gos back on the seat pole. IT sticks out enough to all you to fish with it there.
Here it is with a seat on each side of it.

Would you be interested in selling one without the rod holder?

What type of boat do you have ShilohRed? Mine looks to be a lot narrower than yours but something like that might work. Like I said I only want it to hold a couple of poles.

Just find someone that can weld. And take a piece of flat metal 1/8" thick and 4" wide and how ever long you need it to be. Weld a 1 1/2" piece of pipe ( drill a hole for a bolt to run through and then weld a 3/8" net over the hole.that is to tighten the bolt to the seat pole) 4 to 6" long with a hold cut through the flat metal.
Then on the front I took a 1 1/2" pipe 16" long and welded it to the flat metal, It also has a hole drilled in it near the top for the 3/8' bolt to run through. And allow you to set the other pipe that slides down into this one. The top on is for the rod holders to sit on top of. And also allow you to adjust it up and down.
Not hard to make but would cost to ship them.
I may build one more. And if i do I will take pictures as I build it.

It is in a 2072 war-eagle. But I also can use it in my 17'7" war-eagle its only 54" wide. I think I have a picture of it in that one also. Will try to find it.
Also grizzlyjig.com has them that hold a few or 8 or more.

Does your boat have the round rails anywhere you are looking to place some holders?
