Most of mine are in 18 to 25 ft of water. This way they can be fished winter and summer. 90% to 95% of mine are along some type of break (creek channel, ditch, drop). Seems like you have the shallow water covered now fill up the deep water.
I have made 25 beds and would like to use them as much as possible during the year. We have plenty of beds in 2 to 15 feet of water to fish but wondering if I would waste them by going deeper. If not how deep and should it be in the channel out at the river etc.? The beds are made with flex conduit and are about 3 feet tall because the pipe makes an arch.
I think the mistake a lot of us make is thinking the state-appointed shrink is our friend.

Most of mine are along old creek channels and produce pretty well, but the ones that I catch the most crappie off of are those that I placed on the mud flat in front of my dock.
Suppose it might be because I spend a lot more time fishing off the dock than I do out of the boat?
