Glad to hear you're knocking 'em out Mr. Tom! :D
and good to hear from you too, Jeff
Had a great spring break. The frig is full o slabs. Everything broke down (chain saw, trolling motor, weed eater, lawn mower, digital camera), the weather sucked, but I still had a large time. I cleaned over 200 fishes. Nices ones too. Many over 2 lbs. I got tired of the fillet knife...Will post some pics whe Honey's 35MM stuff gets back....My new boat worked fine, I really like it...
Fishes were scattered throughout the week. Sometimes I would find them at 4 foot, then they would be at 20 foot. I enjoyed the hunt. Females still have eggs, and males still hanging out in the shallows ( this morning, April 30). I think the spawn is nearing the end. I think the "PRO'S" call this the post spawn, but I kinda like Yogi Berra's saying "it ain't over 'til it is over". I caught the bigger fish in the deeper waters. Most big fishes were taken using 1/4 oz orange jigs with minnows....VOL ORANGE.......
Saw more boats ( especially Lunds) on the lake from out of state than I did "locals". The state needs the money so come on down...For the right kind of monies you can follow me around..haha

It sure was good to talk to you on the phone just a little bit ago Tom. It sure looks like I picked a good weekend not to come up. Wind and rain everywhere. We will get together soon like we discussed. Try not to catch all the 2 pounders and above please. Try to save a few for the rest of us to catch. Talk to you soon Tom and sure am glad to hear that spring break went well overall for you. FATBOY
I am heading over Tuesday for a few days. Looks like the weather will be good.
I like this time of season best because I can use all of my stuff. I never make it out of Johnathan during crappie season but my neighbor loves Sandy and someday I might go with him.
The only thing I hate about going this week is I have to mow the lawn and the wife wants new linoleum in the kitchen. I told her cabins are supposed to be rustic and she just looked at me. (You know the look guys) So I 'm taking the linoleum with me.
I think the mistake a lot of us make is thinking the state-appointed shrink is our friend.
Hey Tom, I guess the 39er hat was good luck after all.:D Glad you & Honey had a good time. Will talk with you after you rest up...........
