Sorry to hear that, Beav..We are losing our WWII Vets at a rapid pace..I had a couple of them out fishing this week..You can learn a lot from these folks if you will listen...
God Bless our Vets.
We lost another WWII Vet this week. He was one of the good ones for sure. He would do anything for anyone that needed help. He did have a problem of someone else helping him out tho. Glen was 89 and you would have thought he was in his 60's. I will miss him dearly. Rest in Peace my friend. There is no doubt where he will spend eternity. He didn't fish, but never missed one of my fish fries. EB

Our "greatest" generation so far. Saw the effects of the Great Depression, helped shove the "Arsenal of Democracy" into hyperdrive and simply CRUSHED the Axis under a staggering unstoppable anvalanche of planes, guns, bullets, tanks, ships, and beans, bombs, plasma, penicillin, and cooking utensils. Held the line in Korea and Berlin, won the race to land a man on the Moon and witnessed the relatively peaceful implosion of the Soviet Union, and recently the downfall of many dictators. Hopefully they aren`t the last...
i give you my condolences eager beaver. i hope the greatest generation won't be the last one this country sees.
incognito....... here fishy fishy fishy
I am blessed by being around quite a few WWII veterans. It seems the ones that saw the heavy blood and guts fighting in the trenches don't talk about their experiences very much. One told me it brought back to many bad memories when someone asked him about his experiences during the war. Glen was one of them. EB
