    Default Deep fryer?

Looking to get a propane deep fryer to cook up my catch. What do you all use. I was a BPS the other day and they have one for $30, but the salesman suggested to get the model with the cast iron pot. Said they keep the heat consistent throughout the pot.......What are your two cents?

My cast iron pot seems to regulate the heat better and doesnt cool off as quick. I had a stainless model but...to me... it was hard to keeps a constant temp.

    Default deep fryer

cajun fryers are the best but a cheap cast iron works really good. U want one that will hold at least 1 gal oil, the larger the volume of oil u use the more consistent the temperature will stay.

Have the one from bps and it is ok but I gave it away and broke
down and bought a fryer with the flame in square tubing to
where the excess meal falls to the bottom and will not burn.
they are expensive but over the years cheaper, holds 5gal.
