Default Kayak on Smithville lake 2-16

Put the kayak in at sailboat cove and fished there awhile not so much as a bite. Went up one cove norh and started in 25-30 fow let jig drop to the bottom and reel it up a foot and started catching fish. Ended up catching 8 and took 3 home. Made it home just in time to clean up to go downs to paddys for a few cold ones and hear a few lies

Hard to beat getting it in Febuary. All fish this month are a bonus as we usually dont get to fish in Febuary.

Sounds like a good day. I think I saw you at Sailboat .. I went up to see how frozen everything was and it looked so good, I had to throw a line in for a few minutes. I noticed one small boat out towards the point .. I didn't think about it at the time, but now that you said that, yeah, it was probably a kayak. I'm guessing the red pickup was yours?
