I've never heard of it. I wonder where it's located and how far of a travel it would be for me.
Anyone fish Tippy Dam Pond? Heading up there in a few weeks and could use some inside info.

I'd rather be on the lake enjoying the thrill of my rod telling me there's a fish on the end of my line. :D

It is located between Cadillac and Manistee on a dammed up section of the Manistee river where the Pine river dumps in to the Big Manistee
Wow! That's a long drive from Belleville...I don't think I'd make that trip anytime soon. Hopefully someone will chime in and give you a great response to your question. I know there has to be a MI crappie fishing person that can assist you. Calling all MI crappie fans!

tippy is stump filled so be very careful it has some good fishing for specks along the north shore line

Let us know how you do.

We will aslo be fishing walleye, can you point me in the right direction as far as hot spots and technique?Originally Posted by FisherMike
Sure Roger.
We fish down stream from Red Bridge down to about where the Pine dumps in.
Normally what we do is drift crawlers down and then troll No 5 to 7 deep diving Shad Raps back up through the holes. My favorite coler is crawfish or gold color.
If you going to be down at the mouth in Manastee, we put in at the little launch across from the Wesco station and go up stream and do the same thing.
Good Luck.
Mike
