I always use a uni.
I need to add some line to a couple of my reels and I remember reading how a good percentage of the line on your reel in just filler line and that it makes more sense to just tie your new line to your old line rather than taking all your line off your reel and throwing it away. So, my question is, what knot is best? A quick search pulled up the Uni Knot and the Blood Knot. Any others? Do any of you do this?

I always use a uni.
Slip knots on each line works for me.Thumbs Up
Yep, back to back UNI knots. Three wraps, get them tight and clip tags extra, extra close.

I always use an Albright, never had a problem with it. It's easier for me to tie.

I have to weigh in with support for back-to-back Uni knots. Depending on the size of the line, I put on between 3 (20# and greater line) to 7 (2 - 10# line) wraps, cinch tight, and cut the tag ends close.
