    Default LOZ fun Sunday

Decided to hit the lake on Sunday afternoon.........got a late start, hit the water around 230 or so. Found them hitting reel good and had 2 nice limts by 5.......a lot of eaters but also found a handful of bigger ones. Cast and slow retrieve in and around docks on the main lake........had on an all chartruese Bobby Garland scent wiggler and never changed jigs or color, they liked that on an orange head. My son caught one real beaut. Here's a couple of pics......didn't take any on the water so had to take these in the garage, hope the quality is ok in the bad light and all. Good fishing all.

Thanks all......we launched out of Shawnee Bend and stayed within a cove or two of the launch, so guess we fished between MM 9 and 12 or close to that. Had our best luck in 20-25 fow.....we were slow retrieving so don't know exact depth, but would guess somewhere between 10 and 15 feet. Caught a few in dock slips in 15 +/- fow........those seemed to be shallower, shoot into the slip, count to 3 and steady retrieve so, maybe, 5 feet deep or so. Wish I was smart enough to know why some were 15 feet deep, and others only 5, but that's where they were. Some smacked the heck out of it, others you just saw the line twitch on the retrieve without really feeling the hit. My son also caught a 1 1/2 # largemouth and a 3+ # white bass......those were a couple of real fighters.

Hope to hit it again this weekend. Good fishing all!

Nice catch! I really like those Scent Wigglers. Especiallly the Mo Glos!
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day!
